OCR Text	Show AN HISTORIC OAK. The storm of May 24 caused the destruction de-struction of the historic Blunston oak at Darby, Pa., which had grown to immense im-mense size during the 400 years it had withstood the blasts of many storms. Under its spreading branches Washington Wash-ington and many of his army of 16,000 Continental soldiers rested one hot Sunday in August, 1777, while they were on their way to meet the British at Chadd's Ford.
