I Automobiles for Children. I On Altar Society day the little ones j j from St. Ann's will be taken to and I from the orphanage in automobiles. I Low Mass for Summer. (During the summer months, beginning begin-ning Sunda3 July 5. low mass will be I 1 celebrated at 11 o'clock on Sunday. I Altar Society Day at Saltair. I The members of the Altar society ! will have the annual excursion to Saltair Salt-air on Tuesday, Aug. 11. This date was , . agreed upon to avoid clashing with the Knights of Columbus excursion on July t 1 at Lagoon. By a strange colnci- dence, the ladies settled on July 21 for j Saltair, but changed the date when I they heard the Knights had already I taken the same date. Without doubt : both excursions will be very successful, I because Lagoon and Saltair are ex- I ccedingly attractive. Bishop Scanlan's Anniversary. On last Monday the anniversary of I Bishop Scanlan's consecration, the J children of the choir attended mass I and sang some beautiful hymns. After I mass the little ones called on the bish- op and presented him with an exquisite j bouquet of carnations. The presenta- i tion was made by Eugene Mercier. This i custom is carried out every year by the children. ' Miss Florence O'Xeil was the soloist I at the pro-cathedral la-st Sunday. Miss O'Neil to Sing. I Miss May O'Xeil will sing an "Ave Maria." by Santley, at the Cathedral I ' chapel next Sunday. |
