Show I f FLORENCE : I (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) 1 ' Florence, Colo., Feb. 27. The Fair for the Catholic Church will be held on J the three nights of April 16. 17 and IS, I in Mc.Candless Hall, and not the Hous ton Hall, as mentioned in a former issue. From now till the summer months there will be High Mass every Sunday at 10 a. m., followed in the evening by Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament Sac-rament at the usual hour of 7:30. Miss Annie Conway has been visiting visit-ing with friends in Victor for some time. Many beautiful articles are being prepared for the Fair by the ladies of St. Benedict's Sewing Circle, and the general interest w hich is. manifesting itself among the active members of the parish bids fair to make the entertainment entertain-ment a very successful one. The choir will prepare Batrnann's Mass in F for the Easter High Mass. ANACONDA. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Tho Fair givn in behalf of Rev. Father Victor closed the 7th. The venture ven-ture was a decided success. People, irrespective ir-respective of cree d - ere very generous in their patronage Special thanks are extended to the Si sit erg of St. Nicholas Hospital. Cripple Crip-ple Creok: the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Shep-herd in Denver: the Sisters of Loretto Academy. Colorado Springs, and the j Sisters of St. Scholastica Academy, Canon City, for their beautiful and ' ge-nerous donations to the Fair fund. Especial mention must be given of a kind gentleman who, at the close of the Fair, handed Father Victor ?100 in bills paying: "Please acce-pt my little present. pres-ent. May your smile long gladden the hearts of your thousand friends, and when praying for them do not forget me." The various contests proved money-winners, money-winners, owing to the faithful work of the contestants and their friends. Every Wednesday during Lent, Mass will be offered at 8:30 a. m. -$ Father Victor disposed of his gift, given at the Fair, in a very generous manner, by sending $23 to the orphans end J23 to the Sisters in Denver. The Knights of St. John from Victor i - J and Cripple Creek and many people from Altman and other surrounding towns, attended our Fair. |
