His Eminence Cardinal Vannutelli. acconipan- j ied by his niece, Signorina Vannutelli. his nephew, , Count Galileo, and Prince Ferdinand Decroix ; sailed August 20 from Liverpool, where Cardinal j Logue joined the party. Other delegates sailing include the Papal chamberlain, cham-berlain, J. O. Kenyon, and Canons Butt and Mac-donald Mac-donald of Dundee, and McCarthy of Glasgow, Ritchie of Wishaw and Stuary, representing Archbishops Arch-bishops Smith and Andrews of Edinburgh. The Vicar-General of Paris, Mgr. Adelin, the Bishop of Luxembourge, Mgr. Koppes; Bishop Me Kerry of South Africa; Bishop Touchet. Comtes Balap-parent Balap-parent and Bemontjou and Honsec of the Catholic association. His Grace Archbishop Bruchesi and Monsignor Tampieri, private secretary to Cardinal Merry del Val, and one of the suite of Cardinal Vannutelli. called on Hon. Charles Murphy, Secretary of State. Ottawa, and formally expressed their thanks for the courtesies that will be extended to members of the Government to visiting cardinals and prelates who will attend the approaching Eucharist ic Congress Con-gress in Montreal. While in Ottawa. Archbishop Bruchesi and Mgr. Tampieri approved the arrangements made by Hon. Mr. Murphy for a public reception to be given at the Windsor hotel. Montreal, on the evening even-ing of Wednesday, September 7, from 9 to 11. at which Sir Wilfrid Laurier and the Cabinet Ministers Min-isters will be present. |
