Show I EUREKA, NEV. l . j Cards have been received in Eureka announcing the marriage of Miss Neil-sena Neil-sena Pearl Graham to Mr. Arthur Hugh Nicely at Anaconda, Mont., Saturday, Jan. 19, 1907. Miss Graham is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Graham Gra-ham and is a native of Eureka. She left here with her parents early in the nineties for Montana, where the family has resided since that time. Vincent Torre, who left Eureka early in November for the east, was married in New York City on Nov. 22 to Miss Domenica Maglia, a sister of Mrs. Andrew An-drew Palmigiani of Eureka. Shortly after the wedding the couple went to California, where they have been visiting visit-ing with the family of his uncle, John Torre of Alameda, and from there came to Eureka last Sunday. They have taken up their residence on the Torre ranch about five miles northeast of Eureka. Thomas J. Tennant was discovered dying on the basement floor of the state capitol building at Carson by Lieutenant Governor Dickerson on Jan. 18. Governor Sparks was summoned, but Tennant died before he reached the scene. Heart disease is supposed to have been the cause of Tennant's death. Decedent had been a resident of Carson since the early sixties, and represented Lander county one term in the state senate. A large number of laws passed by the Nevada legislature were drafted by him. He served a term as treasurer of White Pine county, and in late years was engaged in mercantile mercan-tile and mining business. He was highly high-ly esteemed as an exemplary citizen. He was a native of Pennsylvania, aged about 65 years. On first arriving In Nevada he was a resident of the Com-stock. |
