Show Personal. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Phoenix and family have moved from 1505 Sixteenth avenue to 1555 Gilpin street. Miss Julia McLaughlin returned during dur-ing the week from an extended visit to New York, Chicago and Kansas City. In the last named place she was the. guest of her sister, Mrs. P. Downey, who, as Miss Alice McLaughlin, was a great favorite in Denver society until her marriage last winter took her to new scenes. Mrs. John Erickson, formerly a member mem-ber of the Cathedral parish, but now residing in San Francisco, is at present visiting Denver relatives. She will return re-turn to California the first of October. Mrs. Vincent Moran and little son Edward of San Francisco are visiting Mrs. Moran's mother, Mrs. Barnett of this city Miss Marie Sheedy and Miss Florence Sheedy are members of a gay house party at WagoniVheelGap. Mrs. Joseph A. Osner returned last week from an eastern visit. Miss Nora Brophy is home from a visit of three weeks with friends in Aspen, Colo. Mrs. Donoher and daughter. Miss Kitty Donoher, have returned to their home in St. Louis, after a pleasant vlsi with Denver friends. Mrs. Mary Kelly and family have moved from the Annunciation parish to St. Leo's. Mrs. George O. Dostal and little daughter Marie are in Chicago, where they are the guests of Mrs. Dostal's parents, Mr. ?.nd Mrs. Henry Schlacks, former residents of Denver. . Miss Mamie Mangini, one of the popular young women of Sacred Heart' parish, has returned from a visit to her sister, Mrs. Harry Howe of Salt Luke City. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Welch and baby have gone to Chicago, where they will reside in future. Mrs. Eugene McCarthy and daughter, Miss Esther Mc Carthy of Annunciation Annuncia-tion parish, are in St. Louis, where they will remain for at least two months in the hope that a lower altitude alti-tude will prove of benefit to the health of Mrs. McCarthy. fc -fc 3fc Miss Heloise Kennedy, who completed complet-ed the course at St. Mary's academy in June, has gone to New Tork to prepare pre-pare for entrance in Barnard's college. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Geier of 576 Logan Lo-gan avenue, are at Glenwood Springs. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Butterfield ard family have given up their home at 1!U4 East Twenty-second avenue and are boarding at 1305 Sherman avenue. Miss Verna Monarch, who has been visiting in Canada for the past three months, is expected home during the week. John Seller, secretary of the local branch of the Catholic Knights of America, has fully recovered from his recent illness P. J. Sullivan has returned from a business trip to New York. Mrs. J. J. Brown and Miss Helen Brown, who have been in Europe for two years, have arrived In New York, where they will visit for a time and then return to their Denver home. John Griebling, a prominent member of St. Elizabeth's parish, is again able to be out, after an illness of pome duration. du-ration. Mrs. M. J. McCarthy gave the initial party of the season to her euch.-e club Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 23, at her home, 1658 St. Paul street. Frand Schiederman of St. Elizabteh's parish is very ill at his home, 1439 South Seventh street. Miss Florence Flynn entertained the members of her class, '08, Immaculate Conception High school, at a charming luncheon Sunday afternoon at her home, 1822 Clarkson street. The party was in the nature of a farewell, as Miss Flynn leaves next week to. teach school at Elizabeth, Colo. The young hostess was assisted in entertaining by her mother, Mrs. J. A. Flynn. . James Kelty. who has been visiting the family of his brother, Edward Kelty, Kel-ty, of 1944 Logan avenue, returned on Sunday to his home in Princeton, N. J. Misses Ella and Mary Flynn of LI-pan LI-pan and Twelfth streets will leave this week for Pocatello, Ida., to engage in business. |
