" V j George Jay Gibson, territorial deputy ' of the organization, has returned from installing the councils. He is also a delegate to the national convention of Knights at Louisville, K'.. June 7. ,He will also appear as the state delegate to the annual convention of the Sons of the American Revolution, June-15, at St. Louis. There were thirty candidates candi-dates at Boise and forty-five at Poea-tello, Poea-tello, and a delegation from Baker City assisted at the Boise installation. The Knights all had a very good time. r Mrs. Emma Hanson and Mrs. P. Gleason are the ladles appointed to attend at-tend to the altar this week. f . Mr. D. J. Sullivan, tenor soloist of the cathedral choir, sang the offertory at St. Mary's last Sunday. Misses Mary and Catherine Ryan, Miss Eugenie Mercer and Miss Helen Earls have recently joined the junior choir of the cathedral. Services were held at the Utah state penitentiary last Sunday. Rev. Father Kiely officiated, and beautiful music was rendered by some young ladies of the junior choir. Mrs. Cunningham and Miss McEvoy visited the institution In company with the choir. The children of the parish will receive Holy Communion and Confirmation on Trinity Sunday, May 29. Instructions are given every afternoon at 4 o'clock at the cathedral by Rev. Father Cur-ran Cur-ran and Rev. Father Morrissey, f May devotions are held every night at 7:30. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament Sac-rament is given on Wednesday 'and Friday evenings. ' All the children of the parish a-e expected ex-pected to take part in the annual coronation cor-onation ceremony which occurs at the cathedral on Sunday evening, May -29, at 7:30. ' . I The parents are requested to send the children to the rehearsal on Sunday at 3 o'clock. Children who do not attend the rehearsal will positively not be permitted per-mitted to take part in the ceremony. No exceptions will be made to this rule. For the coronation services .the children chil-dren are expected to wear white or light colored dresses, white veils and white wreaths. The veiling should be of white bobbinet and a small veil for the little ones is preferred. The name of each child should be pinned on the wreath so it can be returned to. the owner after the ceremony. |
