Show SUMMER INSTITUTES. The summer Institute for farmers Is becoming popular and as permanent as the Chautauqua or the old-fashioned Sundaj -school picnic. The ten Institutes Insti-tutes held In northern Wisconsin ln June were successes, as were also those In Kansas nnd Nebraska. The district Instlttttee for the studj of horticulture nnd livestock In Indiana the last week In August vere well attended tnd profitable prof-itable The Idea that farmers do not have tlm for summer meetings Is erroneous er-roneous The lessons presented can be npplled nt once nnd become a part of the fnrmer'a experience while jet fresh. It Is much more effective to discuss autumn caro of stock In August than It would he In Tebruary The meetlnga must be mnde popular enough to nttrnct the joung men nnd women. Hold the Institutes where boating nnd other forms of recreation are possible between sessions. The Lagoon would be n splendid splen-did place at which to hold an Institute for all Ihe country north of Silt Lake and the Provo lake resort tor Utah and Juab counties. |
