Tivoli, N.Y... was remarkable from the fact that no lives were lost. Only a flat car of lumber prevented the train from plunging into the Hudson river, and causing an appalling loss of life. The photograph at the top of the picture shows how the flat Car was hit by the Pullman sleeper. The lower photograph shows the demolished front of the sleeper.
