Show INVENTION UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO, Moscow' Mos-cow' Lawrence W. (Foskett, a 1925 University of Idaho graduate, is co-inventor of a new U. S. bureau of standard instrument destined to make flying safer byj taking guesswork guess-work out of daytime cloud ceiling measurements. The new instrument is expected to be invaluable both in military and commercial aviation. It is an ingenious improvement upon a ceil, ing projector which heretofore could be used only at night by shining an intense light beam against a cloud and measuring two angles it formed. |
