From 8:30 ''to S:00 p. m., a very nice program was enjoyed and from 9 o'clock on a dance was held. The Wheeler orchestra furnished fur-nished the music. The Misses Marie and Barbara Neeley have left for a nurses' col j lege. j A watermelon bust was held at ' the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L. j Smith Sunday. Games were played and watermelon was enjoyed by a very large crowd. Mr. ; and Mrs. Peter G. Whitehead White-head and Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Merrill were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Smith Thursday night in honor of Mr. Smith's birthday. A chicken supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver F. Smith and daughter, Patricia of Reno, Nevada, spent one day last week visiting friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen and daughter Zina Marie of Mink Creek, spent Monday evening visiting visit-ing Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Wilson and Preston Nelson have moved to California. Miss Anna Tanner has gone to California to attend college again this year. Mr. and Mrs. David Smith and Mrs. Smith's mother were dinnei" guests of Mr. and Mrs. Welland F. Smith, Sunday. Genealogical conference was held here Sunday night. |
