There was a good crowd and music was by Merlin Smith's orchestra and everyone had a good time despite the threat of darkness. Sunday afternoon. Joan Jensen. Ivonne Jensen, Anna Beth Jensen and Karen Crane took their mothers moth-ers on a very enjoyable sight-set-ing trip through Birch Creek er.i. yon to Willow Fiat. From there the party hiked one mile up the trail to beautiful Eleonor Falls and the springs at ' the head of Cub River. LEWIS-SMITH YED TUESDAY IN TEMPLE FRANKLIN (Special) Mrs. Grant Lewis entertained at a beau, ti fully arranged trousseau tea at her home Sunday afternoon in compliment to her daughter Estelle who married Veil Smith of Fair view in the Logan temple, Tues day, September 23. Mrs. Earl Lewis was in charge of the guest book Oveda Nash and Mrs. LaNae Lewis were in charge of the gifts. Mrs. Ada Smitn, mother of the husband and Mrs. Lewis greeted the guests. Mrs. Bertha Comish, Mrs. Kay Wright and Mrs. Stella Wright assisted in the trousseau room. Mrs. Thel-ma Thel-ma Doney and Mrs. Myrtle Nash were in charge of the serving, assisted as-sisted by Betty Lowe, Helen Cook.'! and Melva Smith who were in formal gowns. The bride was lovely In a pink formal gown. The serving table was covered with a beautiful lace cloth and centered with a bouquet of pink gladioli and white asters. At each end were placed pink tapers in silver holders. In one corner on a small table tood a 3-tier wedding cake adorned with a miniature bride and groom. One hundred thirty-five friends called during the afternoon. I |
