N Lunt State Director Director Dir Dir- ector and Mrs Pratt Behers President dent of the Southern of Federated Women's Clubs have e been covering the district during durin the past few days das assisting with the organization of several eral new clubs As a result of this activity quite a number of new clubs will be added to the federation and dozens dozens doz doz- dozens ens of women in the district will willbe willbe willbe be given the ol to participate participate par par- in club activities who have been Inactive heretofore most of them young married women Mrs Lunt and Mrs Bethers ethers spent a day In Beaver last week were in St. St George on Monday and spent yesterday in Kanab and Panguitch making contacts with groups of women interested in or various types of ot clubs In addition to these visits the two officers have done considerable work in Cedar City with the result result re re- reo sult that at least three new clubs will be organized here within the coming week The officers of one of these a literary club have ha been named and the membership will willbe willbe willbe be completed and announced next week lek Mrs Wm Win McMullin McMullen will act as president of this new club with Mrs Wendle Paulson as vice president and Mrs Elwood Corry as secretary and treasurer A large number of the local duo clue ladles expect to attend the State Convention of Federated Clubs of Utah which will open in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening and continue until Friday evening April The We Ak Club ladles ladies wee e entertained by Mrs M M. J. J Urle Urie Thursday afternoon with three guests Mrs William McMullin Mrs Sherwin Bradshaw and Mrs Reed Bradshaw present in addition ad to sixteen regular members Mrs Parson U U. Webster gave a discussion of he life and works of Victor Herbert Several songs were sung by Mrs E E. W W. Southwick Mrs Vernal Jones and Miss Bee Dee Roberts accompanied by Mrs J J. S.
