| Show I i Dixie Quartet Gives Concert In Cedar Over Cedar City people were well given a n rare treat Wednesday nigh t of ot last week In the Third Ward recreation hall by the Dixie Quartet Quartet tet from St. St George The four gentlemen gentlemen gentlemen gen gen- composing the quartet were Dilworth Snow 1st tenor Vernon Worthen 2nd tenor Otto Olio Fife 1 lit ht t bass and Grant Orant Harris 2nd bass with Mrs May Atkin Pace as director director tor and accompanist Four ful ful Dixie peaches girls girl and Miss Evelyn Eveln Harris took part on the pro pro- gram The entire audience was thrilled from the opening you how-do-you-do song to the pa patriotic trio tic skit which closed the performance At the close of the program the Dixie group was taken Into the dining room and served a delicious luncheon by the choir members of the Third and Fourth Wards while they all joined In a general to get I gether and social Tills This fine group from the South land are to be highly complimented complimented complimented on their fine performance and even en more on the wholesome spirit in which it was given They traveled over miles and gave gate their services freely to help in the raising of funds for far the new pipe organ which is to be purchased for forthe forthe forthe the Third Ward Chapel The Cedar City people as a whole are sincerely of such fine cooperation on the part of the tho St. St George singers and suggest that I this be the commencement of further further fur fur- ther exchange activities |
