| Show Final Rites Held For Aged Early Day Pioneer Mrs Mary Jane Jane Corry cony Corlett 88 last surviving member of the e prominent O Corry rry pioneer family died Sunday January of aUmenta all ail menta Incident to age aie closing a along along along long and eventful life lite She was bOrn bom on April 29 29 1848 a daughter of George and Margaret Margaret Margaret Mar Mar- garet Corry who were pioneers to Salt Lake City In 1847 A member of a family of twelve children she he was the seventh child of the family and the fifth or sixth child chUd born in Salt Batt Lake valley B Besides being the last member of ot the family she lived to an on older alder age ap than any aDT of the other members When chat she be was 1 a very ety young girl sho she worked in the Relief Society being named as M secretary and teacher at the same tame time She also anted acted as aa a operator in Salt Lake City being the first volunteer volunteer vol vol- volunteer to the service In Utah with the late Mrs Alice Bulloch Bullock another er cr pioneer of this section being the second During these activities she became personally acquainted with President Brigham Young an acquaintance ac so- of which she was always al always always al- al ways proud The Cony family lived In Salt Galt alt Lake Lako City for tor a little over two years yean then they were called ailed to Provo jn- jn n 1849 After Atter four years yean In Provo theY ther I came to the Old Fort first site of Cedar crt city Mrs was married to Jas Jaa Corlett in hi March 1872 who died 33 years ago She was the mother of six children two of whom survive survive survive sur sur- vive her Mrs Corlett acted as secretary when the old Branch Normal school bui buildings were bein being erected Her home harm was 8 the headquarters where produce contributed was received and distributed She is survived by a Mrs Mm J J. J A.
