H Manning was elected president of ot the organization with an executive committee composed of ot Mrs Myron Higbee Mrs M M. J J. J Macfarlane Mrs Webster Leigh Miss Margaret Williams and Herschell Herschell Her- Her schell Neeley Hazen Cooley lUl act as secretary At a meeting of the committee this week It was decided that two two Instrumentalists one dance tance team and one well well known known lecturer In Music should compose the first series of programs Names of the artists will be made known as S soon as definite arrangement have bave been completed Membership In the association Is open to anyone in Cedar City but only members who subscribe to the full tull series will be allowed to participate It was also decided that members who subscribe now will be admitted free to the two final numbers on the B B. C ly ly program On March 16 the Utah Trio composed of William violinist Frank Asper pianist and organist and Joseph dive Clive cellist will be presented while a quintet of ot singers Becky Almond pianist Richard Condie Alvin Keddington Virginia Baker Bake and Annette Dinwiddie will close the season I Mr Manning also reports that all civic organizations are behind the Music Arts Association drive and that already a good many pledges have been received |
