Day at Franklin a week from Saturday Sat-urday hy scheduling 'Forty-Nin-I ers" Day for Friday, June 13. j A Forty-Niners Day parade has been set for Friday afternoon, June 13, at 2 o'clock with Paul Lines, 1 general parade chairman, and with tentative plans for the hoy scouts of the city to sponsor the parade. I Cash prizes will he awarded to I the best dressed children in the I parade depicting (he 49'er theme. There will he six cash prizes and candy for all children in the parade par-ade with costumes. It is expected that Franklin will enter an entire section in tha parade on their celebration cele-bration the following day. Chairman Lines urges all boy scouts and all children wishing to participate in the parade be at the city park at not later than 1:45 Friday Fri-day afternoon, June 13. Preston merchants will remain open Friday evening until, 8 p. m., and will be closed all day Saturday |
