Show IdUP Convention To Be Held Here Wednesday,June II Final preparations were completed com-pleted here this week for the district dis-trict convention of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers who will convene here on Wednesday, June 11. Principal sper-ner has been announced an-nounced as Charleton G. Laird of the University of Idaho Southern at Pocatello. Professor Laird is considered an outstanding) authority authori-ty on history and historical relics. He has made extensive study and research into historical places and events in Idaho. Attenalng me convention will be women' from the 29 Cache Valley camps and the 11 Franklin county camps. The convention will got underway at 10 a. m. and the afternoon aft-ernoon session will begin at 1:30. County captains Pro working jointly to make the district conclave' con-clave' an outstanding affair. Mrs. Arthur Walgren is captain of Franklin county, and Lila Salerth-waitc( Salerth-waitc( is Cache County captain. A Utah speaker has' not yet been named, but is expected in the next day or so. The Oneida Stake 9 'using 'us-ing Mothers will fippffir oh tn- P''-gi-am and a ladies' chorus from Logan Lo-gan will be heard. |
