Show Dairy Products Month Set For June By Proclamation National Dairy Products Month and the coast-to-coast campaign to stimulate consumption of healthful dairy foods both as a contribution to national defense and to help the American dairy industry dispose of its heavy seasonal production made a triumphant debut in the markets of Idaho and Ihe nation this week. Heralded by a proclamation from Governor Chase A. Clark, the drive opened on June 1, with more than 200,000 chain stores and independent indepen-dent retailers cooperating in the dairy industry's effort to awaken consumers to the importance of increased in-creased consumption of dairy products prod-ucts to national health and national defense. The campaign will continue throughout June with retailers, hotels, ho-tels, restaurants, railroads and other outlets stressing the health and economy values of milk, butter, but-ter, cheese, ice cream and other products of the industry and es- pecially tne need for sirenginenmg the national defense program by increasing the health standards of ine people. |
