Show I ROYS' STATE SLATED JUNE 22 AT BOISE June 10, is the deadline for the submission of the applications ol those local high school boys whc are to be sponsored by veterans, civic, service, fraternal, religious or educational groups for the second sec-ond annual Boys' Slale at Boise June 22-29, according to word re ceived here today from Lester F. Albert, adjutant of the- Idaho department, de-partment, The American Legion. The eligibles are named from the three upper classes in each high school of the state and from this list local sponsors in each town can choose a boy to attend the Boys' State camp for an entire en-tire week at a cost of only $ir, in, eluding all expenses excepting transportation. At the first Boys' State last year there were 55 boys from all over Idaho. This year, according to information in-formation coming from Homer lludelson, president of, the Legion corporation in charge of the event, it is expected that the number will be doubled or possibly trebled. Each Legion post is taking an active interest in the enrollment and the committee of Legionnaires managing the camp itself have made careful plans for the instiuc-, instiuc-, tion, entertainment and care of the Boys' State members. |
