Show Livestock Men Oppose Big Games Garnes Increases I As a result of the dissension between supporters of big game development and interests of southern Utah and acid the apparent belief of the livestock men that the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Utah is sponsoring big game development to the detriment detriment detri detri- ment of the livestock industry Ben Den Cameron field representative of tha the association net with a group of Cedar Monday to discuss the mat mat- ter After a lengthy round table discussion discus slon sion a better understanding of both groups was obtained and Mr Cameron those present that the asso asso- association I elation was ready to protect the tilt industry in industry in- in and support It in any development development develop develop- i ment move It seemed to be the sense of the I meeting that the livestock men should take a a. more active part in the civic I i I club activity of the section although I 1 I the admitted that such Interest in civic activities had been unnecessary until proponents propone of big game development had accomplished so 50 much through organization that I It seemed that the livestock industry might be damaged For the most part the livestock men I did not object to a reasonable number num num- number ber of game but they were severely j i opposed to Increasing to an extent that ranges ranges might be damaged and ard they were sere also bitterly opposed to any I reduction in the livestock on the range range I as long as the big game are allowed to Increase and offset the advantages ad i of such livestock reductions j Those present at the meeting were were I Henry Jones Lehi Lehl W.
