Show HEALTH DAY CEREMONIES AT SMITHFIELD FRIDAY PARADE BIG FEATURE OF CELEBRATION Dr. Jones Guest Speaker at Public Meeting at Tabernacle Tab-ernacle Following Parade. ! SmSthfield Mayor L. Vern Toolson, mayor of Smitnfield and general chairman for the annual Smitnfield Health Day, Friday, May 20, has .announced that all is in readiness to entertain the large crowds that are expected to participate in this annual event. D. S. Jones, chairman of the parade committee, has issued an invitation for Logan merchants to participate in the parade which will begin promptly at 10 a. m. Friday morning. Last year over 2000 school children joined in the parade. This year he estimates a much larger showing will be made. Persons wishing to leam more of the details of the parade should get in touch with Mr. Jonas. "Approximately 4000 school children child-ren from the elementary schools of Cache county will take part in the program," Mayor Toolson predicted. pre-dicted. Bands from North Cache South Cache, Wellsville, Millville, Smithfield junior high school, Logan Lo-gan junior high school and Utah State Agricultural college, will march in the parade that will officially of-ficially open the celebration. Immediately after the parade a meeting will be held' at Smithfield tabernacle with Dr. J. L. Jones, state board of health commissioner, commission-er, as guest speaker. A special attraction of the meeting will be a presentation of a loving oup to the elementary school in Cache county tha has the highest percentage per-centage of its students with sound teeth. The award will be given by Cache County Dental association.
