D II Madsen State Fish and Game Commissioner reached Cedar City Sunday evening from Beaver Mr Madsen met with the members of the he Rod and Gun Club at a luncheon Monday noon Mr Fife President of the Club was in charge of the meeting abd 0 spoke briefly urging close I Idon cooperation cooperation opera co-opera- tion don between local sportsmen ond and tho the State Fish and Game Commission Mr Madsen drew the attention of those present to the fact that a vast percentage of are interested In fishing lie He also commented upon the fact that the people who visit our scenic attractions are keenly interested interested inter inter- ested in hunting and fishing that these people as well as our local people people peo peo- pie are benefited He lIe stated that in no other state stater was there such organization or such operation co-operation manifest as in the state of Utah II He reminded those present that according to the plan of last year a I shipment of elk was to be made to Cedar City and added that even tho one shipment of pheasants had al at- at ready been made to this vicinity that another small shipment would be made in the near future The matter of oC the game preserve on the top of Cedar Mountain was discussed but no definite action was taken on the matter Mr Madsen left for the Glenwood Fish Hatchery in Sevier County Monday Monday Monday Mon day afternoon I |
