I I Just a Picture o of f His Ris Mother Bp GUAM CONNER Likeness of the 1 WAS the Dearest Deares Woman W first amt year ear heto he ho hov het had n nn v u t In to n the 1 UJ World or Ie a away awny awn y from Christmas Gift to 0 h home 0 m e and Lonesome Son y he was a full full- grown man Other years he had been near enough to go goback goback goback back home for Christmas but now his llIs work had sent him across the continent conti coat nent and he couldn't possibly manage the trip lie He had some excellent new friends and ond he was going to have Christmas dinner with them And the family from home had sent a beautiful Christ Christ- Christmas Christmas mas Inns box box every every member of ot the family had sent a present It had been U tied d with holly and red rd ribbon and he bad had opened It Christmas eve Rut nut now It was Christmas morning and ho was just a little bit homesick Yes Just a n little bit perhaps bit perhaps It was more than a little bit I And nd then came the postman's ring Ho lIe had received all his presents cards too from his friends at home bome who would not send presents but who had remembered him Yes Tes he had bad been very ery fortunate The homesickness he be felt was only natural And then he opened the small package lackage which the postman's ring bad hall brought to him It was waa a n photograph of ot his mother and It arrived on Christmas day And under It was wasa a little note Just Justa a few te words wards of or love and devotion and anda a Christmas greeting He lIe felt better already I For even though there must at ot times be separations dons he had bad so wonderful a home and mother that even though they were apart actually their thoughts and spirits were as close together as t though they were wera not separated It was an excellent photograph of his mother too What a perfect Christmas' Christmas morning gift gUt I HIJ western N r Union
