C auditorium Facing the Music was vaa presented by a cast of young roun people eople that was a credit to the ution The play pIa was a three act comedy the he leading characters being Durrel Corry Gordello Hunter Earl Whit Whit- take ake Miss LaMar La Lyman and Miss l Ita ha la Each character was well wen represent represent- ed ed d but Mr Corr Corry stood out conspicuously conspicuously above the others with Gordel to 10 o Hunter a close second Durrel showed honed surprising aptitude for comedy comedy com com- ed edy and not one moment of the time passed assed that he was not in full accord with the pIa play Gordello as is customary cus cus- tomary omary with him was entirely at home lome on the boards and seemed to toive live ive the part he portrayed that of the he bewildered reverend whose wife had lad got into the wrong ap- ap upon coming home from a visit It is said that the young oung people put on the play without the assistance of ofa B It coach or trainer and if this be true they are entitled to much credit for forthe forthe forthe the performance was realty really well handled One distressing feature was the very small audience that greeted the performers There were not more than 90 people present We have seen that jammed with p people ople attending a show that was not half as good as was Facing the thelI l I Music I I |
