Show "Carrotors" Annual: Set For Jan. 20th Word comes to the News that j iv. rmi.-r residents of Sanpete county, who are now living in Salt Lake City j and vicinity, have arranged for another anoth-er social reunion to be held at the ! Hotel Utah on Friday evening, Jan-1 uary 20, 1U28. It will be remembered j that about a year ago a similar function func-tion was held at the same place v. hich w as a marked success and gicatly enjoyed by all. The program for the coming function func-tion will consist, as before, of. dancing, danc-ing, refreshments and some entertainment entertain-ment numbers. A general opportunity opportun-ity will be offered to all residents of Sanpete county, present as well as past, to meet and visit with old acquaintances and friends. The committee arranging the present pres-ent affair consists of the following named persons from the communities indicated: S. A. Jensen, chairman, Ephraim; S. C. Sorenson, Ephraim; Mrs. A. C. .Lund, Gunnison; Wendell Peacock, Sterling; Spencer W. Madsen, Manti; Mrs. George Maycock, Spring City; Mrs. Amasa Aldrich and Mrs. A. B. Waldemar, Mt. Pleasant; Sidney S. Sanderson and A. A. Johnson, Fair-view; Fair-view; Naylor Jones, Milburn; Dr. Thomas D. Rces, Wales; Daniel O. , Larsen, Moroni; A. II. Anderson, Ft. Green. The committee states that the coming com-ing party is to be a genuine frolic of Sanpete "Carrotors," by which is meant, people from the land or county coun-ty of the carrot. Every "Carrotor" is invited, whether still a resident of , the county, or living elsewhere. A general reception committee will be on hand to see that all who attend, enjoy themselves. It is estimated that there are at least 10,000 former residents of Sanpete San-pete County now living in Salt Lake City and its environs, and it is understood under-stood plans are being laid to form a permanent society among this vast group, to provide closer association and unity in social and othere activities. |
