Show Snowfall Measure Important index The measurement of the accumulated accumul-ated snowfall at the end of the precipitation pre-cipitation season furnishes an important impor-tant index to the probable water supply sup-ply to be derived from the snow cov-r. cov-r. A system of snow surveying has been developed by which it is possible pos-sible to measure to the depth and water content of the snow cover at the end of the precipitation season. ! Surveys which form the basis of annual an-nual water supply forecasts are now 'eing made on the principal water-heds water-heds of Utah, California and Nevada.
