Show ' BIG BIRTHDAY PARTY. President Roosevelt's 52nd birthday! on January 30, will be" the occasion of j one of the most unique and widespread wide-spread celebrations ever accorded a living person on a similar anniversary. In thousands of communities throughout the United States, a Roosevelt birthday ball will be held, the profits to go to the Warm Springs Foundation for sufferers from infantile infan-tile paralysis. j As is well known, Mr. Roosevelt is a victim of that most serious malady, which attacked him several years ago, and he still suffers from its effects. He received much benefit from the baths and other treatment provided at Warm Springs, Ga., and with his aid an institution was established there for those similarly afflicted. It is believed that a large sum will be raised by the birthday balls ar- j ranged. Even those who do not look upon dancing with especial favor will hardly seriously object to this movement, move-ment, which will enable many who are now cripples to dance for joy later on. |
