Show CENTERFIELD By Special Correspondent o o Big Pioneer Celebration, j Ccntcrfield's Tioneer Day celebration celebra-tion proved unusually interesting and everyone enjoyed a real time. The first event of the day was the parade, consisting of many beautiful floats. After the parade the large crowd of people gathered at the Centerfield meeting house and enjoyed a program of songs and readings. Mrs. Gordon Sorenson, who won in the contest for "Utah," held her "position on the .stage with Dale Fjcldsted aaul Thco Peterson as niaids-in-waiting. During the afternoon a dance was enjoyed by the little ones and later races and contests were held. The event that proved interesting to the older people was the boxing matches, horse races and automobile races. This being the conclusion of the sports the large crowd enjoyed a splendid dancing party at Cremona. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kilfoy and son, J. Grant, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Anderson Sunday. Mrs. Alvjn Tollestrup and family of Salt Lake City, were holiday visitors visit-ors at the home of Mrs. Peter Thompson. Thomp-son. , Miss Alta Buchanan returned home Thursday after spending the past few months at Ephraim, where she has been working. Mrs. W. H. Anderson returned Friday Fri-day after spending a week at Provo., visiting with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. John Watts, Sr.r and family, were holiday visitors at the home of their son, J. Clayton Wpvtts. Jack Anderson of Mt. Pleasarrf, is here visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Riggs of Pasa-j dona, Calif., came in Tuesday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chris.j, A. Peterson for a few days. Sunday'1 they motored to Salt Lake City, whew tliey will spend a week or so visitiup' with friends and relatives before ice-turning ice-turning to the coast. I The Messrs. A. Peacock of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting at the Kozy Kove turkey ranch, owned by Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Anderson. The third year 4-11 club girls, under un-der the direction of Miss Roberta Mslmgren and the Misses Mary and ; Roberta Fjcldsted, enjoyed a real 1 swim in the canal Tuesday at 5 o'clock. it 7 o'clock they built a large bonfire r,-id roasted "wciners."
