Show MANY U. S. WARS HAVE SEEN WOMEN FIGHT AS MEN Recently there came to light in Kansas evidence to indicate that in a Kansas regiment during the Civil war was a woman serving as a soldier sol-dier in men's clothes. Surprising as was this information her case was not unique for it has been estimated that upwards of 400 women thus garbed themselves and marched away to battle. bat-tle. Nor was the Civil war the only one of our. wars in which such things took place, for similar instances are recorded in the Revolution and the war with Mexico.
