Show Britain Lists 540 as Millionaires in 1931 London. Five hundred and forty millionaires in this country were assessed as-sessed for surtax last year, according to the report of the inland revenue commissioners for the year ended March 31, 1931, which has just been issued here. Statistic indicate that the number of millionaires increased by twenty-one, that the yield from income tax rose by 18,000,000, and that 50,000 taxpayers dropped from the lists of Somerset house during the year.
