Show Marriage Troth Is Made Public Announcement of the marriage of Miss Betty Villard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Villard of this city, to Dowcll Brian, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Brian of Loa was made publio at a well appointed party at the August Au-gust Villard home last Saturday evening. eve-ning. The marriage ceremony, it was made public at the social gathering, was solemnized at the Methodist parsonage par-sonage at Las Vegas, Nov., '.last December De-cember 28. The marriage was kept a profound secret and even tht. parents of the two were not advised until a month or so later. . ... The bride is well and popularly known in social and educational circles cir-cles in many communities. AfU:r gra-duating gra-duating from Wasatch academy at Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Brian went to Westminster college at Salt Lake, where she also graduated with honors. Later she went to Los Angeles and attended Occidental college, completing complet-ing her work there. ; Mr. Brian, who is now employed as a teacher at Cainsville, graduated from Snow college at Ephraim. He. was born at Loa and is numbered among the progressive young men of his community. Mr. and Mrs. Brian left Sunday for Loa and later they continued their journey to Cainsville;. They will make their home at Loa during the coming summer. At the "marriage announcement" party Saturday evening, some twenty-eight twenty-eight intimate friends and relatives were present, and those from outside points were the Misses Hilda and Twilla Brian of Loa, and Mr and Mrs. Farrell Monson of Salina. |
