Show jCileaner Girls ' Enjoy Banquet ! Members of the Gunnison ward Gleaner Girls, proved royal hostesses i Thursday evening of last week when they tenderd a banquet to the Gleaner Glean-er Girls, the presidency, and the of- j ficers of the Hamilton and Gunnison ' wards at a well appointed banquet j at the Wistaria. Twenty were present pres-ent end the affair pro"d highly successful. suc-cessful. It was the first banquet ' given by this organization and it is i now proposed to make it an annual affair. The guests were seated at one long table, on which vases and bowls of pink and white" carnations were artistically arranged as decorations. A splendid menu was served and the hostesses and guests thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the time. Miss Elva, Foote, secretary of the Gunnison ward mutual, acted as topstmaster dv.ring the banquet and enthusiasm was kept alive by clever responses. A splendid program had been arranged ar-ranged for the occasion and the numbers included a vocal solo by Mrs. S. S. Kunz; reading, Miss Vilate Jacobson; duet. Misses LaVyrlo Harmon Har-mon rnd Ada Peterson; piano solo. Miss Alta Xorris, and a talk by Mrs. ' E. L. Swalberg. The banquet was arranged primarily pri-marily frr a get-together meeting, the objects of the Gleaner Girls be- , ing for a n-.ore elo-sar association of the two organizations. |
