Show Miss Bertha Mortensen, who is employed em-ployed at Ely, Nevada, is here for a three weeks visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mortensen. ; Mrs. A. M. Peterson and Mrs. V. C. Talboe spent Saturday and Sunday , visiting with their mother at Levan. Dr. and Mrs. F. 0. Bullock and Miss Arlean Bullock of Salina, were Sun- day dinner guests at the home of Mr. ' and Mrs. Marius Jensen. John M. Knighton, president of the Gunnison Irrigation company, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Knighton, returned Tuesday after spending several days at Salt Lake. Mr. Knighton was look-! ing after business pertaining to irri-' gation water. Levon Bardsley, who was called from his home at Los Angeles on account ac-count of the death of his father, Jo-' seph Bardsley, returned to his coast home today. Mrs. N. S. Gregory and Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Preator were capitol city visitors visit-ors last week-end. Mrs. Mark Duggins motored to Salt Lake Saturday and spent Mothers' day with relatives. J. A. Kc-arns, representing Boston woolbuyers, was a brief visitor to Gunnison Tuesday. Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Ilagan motored to Mt. Pleasant Wednesday and was present at the graduation exercises held at the Wasatch academy. Miss Helen Hagan, their daughter, was among those receiving diplomas of graduation. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Behunin and children left this morning for Cedar City. They will spend a week there visiting with relatives and friends and before returning home they will spend some time visiting with Mr. Behunin's parents in Wayne county. Miss Pansy Jacobson, a student at a nurses' training school at Denver, arrived at her home at Axtell Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. Miss Jacobson was summoned home on account of the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. James Jacobson. Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Larson of Salt Lake, came in from the nor.th Saturday Satur-day and were guests over Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Marius Jensen, parents of Mrs. Larson. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Phelps and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Christensen came down from Salt Lake to attend the funeral of Christian Mickelson, held in this city Monday. Mesdames L. G. Anderson and Or-ville Or-ville Hansen were charming entertainers entertain-ers for .the bridge club at a bridge-dinner bridge-dinner party Tuesday evening at the Gunnison hotel. At seven o'clock a hot chicken dinner was served, covers being be-ing laid for sixteen. Bridge playing followed an hour at the banquet table. Miss Beth McClure is spending the week with her mother at Levan. Mrs. Nephi Gledhill and Miss Alice Gledhill, who have been spending the winter at Salt Lake, came in from the north Tuesday evening and were accompanied by Mr. Gledhill, who motored mo-tored to Salt Lake to meet them. Mrs. Gledhill and daughter will return north Friday morning. Mark Duggins of the Duggins Service Ser-vice station, and Lorin Hill, were combining com-bining business with pleasure at the capitol last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Willardson of Salt Lake, were special guests at a Mothers' day dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Willardson of th;3 city. Other members of the immediate family were present and included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jensen of Ephraim. ! They were called here on account ac-count of the death of Joe Bardsley, a near relative. . Mrs. Albert Swain and Hiss Ida Child s came in from Idaho Falls Monday Mon-day evening and are the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs Mrs.. Swain expects to spend the sum mer here. Miss Childs, who is a valued val-ued employe of the Mountain States Telephone company, will spend a month's vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs. Mr. and Mrs. G. D.
