There is not a state in the union j I that has not contributed labor and : materials to these new vessels, according accor-ding to the shipbuilding company. The four new ships will make their j maiden voyages next fall and winter j on the only New York-California service ser-vice which includes seven Central and South American ports. The vessels have been designed for comfort while i cruising in tropical waters, novel features fea-tures including dining salons on upper up-per decks, with roofs that may be rolled back when desired. Besides giving many men much needed employment in building, this new fleet will facilitate and doubtless greatly increase tourist travel and commerce between the United States and countries to the southward.
