Show Manager Jones Will Attend Convention F. H. Jones, manager of the local J. C. Penney company store, left Sunday Sun-day for Salt Lake City, where he will attend the fall convention of the J. C. Penney company, to be held at the Hotel Utah in that city. The conven-1 tion opened on Monday and will continue con-tinue for the balance of the week. Representatives from the New York office of the J. C. Penney company, who will be present at the convention and preside over the general session, will include Chairman W. M. Bush-ncll, Bush-ncll, personnel department; W. A. Reynolds, sales department; E. A. Ross, real estate department; E. G. Ruffnar, district manager. Seven buyers buy-ers for important merchandise departments de-partments will also be present. The fall convention at Salt Lake is one of 15 district convention meeting? held at central points throughout the country and attended by over 1400 J. C. Penney company store managers. "The fall convention this year," said Mr. Jones, "will be largely devoted de-voted to sales promotion, in line with the Gold Star Sales contest recently inaugurated by the company.
