Show Gunnison Bested In Salina Conflict North Sevier high school athletes, n a dual track meet held at Salina last Friday afternoon, nosed out over the local athletes of the Gunnison Valley high school by only 20 points, the finals being Salina 71, while Gunnison Gun-nison closed with 51. The meet, however, how-ever, was clever and some fine exhibition exhi-bition work was done by the Gunnison lads. Among those taking first place n the Gunnison crew were Petty, in the mile run, with a time of 5:21, and Voorhees in the 880-yard run, with a 'ime of 2:20 4-5. Mortensen outdid competitors in the pole vault, clearing 10 feet and five inches. Westlund took the discus throw by establishing a -,core of 99 feet and 10 inches.
