Show A Strong One Bob Shank, one of the new Hoosicr airport proprietors, who was one of the first three civilian airmail pilots, was telling a story the other day of being lost in the fog over New York. "I thought I was several hundred feet in the air. when suddenly over East river, the high masts of a battleship loomed directly in front of me " But the jest of his story lies in the way he described how narrowly he averted crashing into the ship. "I missed those masts," Shank said, "by the smell of a sock." Indianapolis News. |
