Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Misses Elna and Julia Modeen, Miss Florence Hermansen and Mrs. Elmer Nielson, motored to Ephraim Monday afternoon for a brief business visit. Chris. Sumner, president! of the Sevier Valley Coal company, and C. O. Thurber, representing the coal company as a salesman, were here from Richfield Monday of this week. Miss Irene Allmendinger, who has been attending the local schools, will complete her courses at Wasatch I academy. She left for Mt. Pleasant Tuesday to begin her work. i ! Clinton Lundeberg, with the office forces of the Telluride Power company com-pany at Richfield, accompanied by Mrs. Lundeberg, were Monday and Tuesday guests at the home of Mrs. C. O. Lundeberg. i ' Mrs. Albert Posenlund, accompan-' accompan-' ied by her sons, Bert and Hugh, of j McGill. Nevada, came from the west I Saturday. Hugh will remain for the : winter and will be a student at the Gunnison Valley high school. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Duggins and Mrs. Mark Duggins left for Salt Lake Wednesday. They will return tihe last of the week. Arnold Larson, who spent the major ma-jor portion of the summer at McGill, Nevada, visiting witlh his brother, Roldo, has returned to his home here. Arnold plans to register at the Utah Agricultural college at Logan. Mrs. George "Peterson, who spent the past seven months at San Francisco Fran-cisco and the Bay cities, returned to her home at Centerfield last Friday. Mrs. Peterson will remain here for an indefinite period. She was accompanied accom-panied by her son, Byard, who wil! spend a short vacation here. Orville Hansen, district manager for the "Pep" gas company, and who operates stations at Ephraim, was here for a short visit to 'Mrs; Hansen Sunday and Monday, Mr. Hansen, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Hansen, continued continu-ed his journey to Cedar City where he will look after his company's interests. |
