Show Clean Milk Important for Human Consumption No greater field of usefulness exists than the production of milk for human hu-man consumption. Milk is the food on which growing children are reared and from which they should receive tli e strength and vigor necessary to make them strong, useful citizens. Adults, too, especiallly Invalids and those weakened by improper nourishment, nourish-ment, need milk in the diet to repair re-pair waste and build up strong new tissue. Recent investigations in nutrition nu-trition have shown that milk contains certain other substances which are essential for the proper growth of the human body. Milk production also carries responsibilities. respon-sibilities. When carelessly produced and improperly handled, milk may he the means of spreading disease. Every Ev-ery owner of a dairy herd should consider con-sider it his duty to himself and to the community to keep only healthy cows, supply them with wholesome feed, and keep them in clean, comfortable quarters. |
