The program was presr-ntr-d as follows: Singing, "Oh, I Had Such a Pretty Dream, Mamma"; prayer. Hyrum Olsen; piano pi-ano Solo, "The Rosary," Louise Larson; Lar-son; speech, H. C. Larson; boys' chorus from primary grades in public pub-lic school. "My Mother Dear"; retold story, Voneil Gregerson; saxophone duet, Harold Christiansen and Donald Don-ald Christiansen; memory gems about Mother, kindergarten class; solo, "MothVr Machree," Mabel Willard-son; Willard-son; Tribute to Mothers, Lloyd Whit-ilock; Whit-ilock; Mothers' response, Vivian Larson; Lar-son; song, ".America"; benediction, Jesse Bartholomew. Mayfield Students Graduate. The following Mayfield students received diplomas of graduation from the Mnnti high school Monday evening. eve-ning. Berdie Christiansen, Lora Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, Clara Mortensen, Leola Jensen, Jen-sen, Ora Gregerson, Anna Anderson, Ivan Larson, Shirley Bogh, and Harold Har-old Christiansen. President Ira Hors-fall Hors-fall of Snow college addressed the graduates. Gene Peterson of Gunnison, spent Sunday and Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Larson. ; Mrs. Stanford Madson of Manti, spent Mother's day with her mo-, mo-, ther, Mrs. A. C. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Larson, Mr. . and Mrs. R. D. Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Whitlock, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Christiansen, Mrs. Hannah M. Christiansen. Chris-tiansen. Mrs. H. C. Larson and Mrs. Clyde Willardson attended the funeral fun-eral services Sunday at Ephraim for Mrs. John Harden Whitlock. Mrs. Clyde Whitlock left 'for Mitchell, Mit-chell, South Dakota, Monday morning. She was called there on account of the serious illness of her mother.- Sunday afternoon the Mayfield baseball team played at Salina. Our boys were defeated. Mrs. L. C. Larson, who has been visiting in Emery the past month with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Sor-enson, Sor-enson, returned to her home Monday. Mrs. Herbert Olscn and baby are visiting with Mrs. Olsen's mother, Mrs. Ole Black, at Sterling. Professor Ernest Jacobsen of the Agricultural college, Logan, with his family, spent the week-end and Mo- ther's day at the home of Mrs. Sarah Michaelson. Mrs. Michaelson is the mother of Mrs. Jacobsen. The 7th and 8th grades, with their teacher, Lloyd Whitlock, spent last Friday at the left-hand fork camp- j ground. |
