Show Splendid Program j Arranged by Axtell: Under the direction of the ware! Sunday school officers, Axleli wiil again fittingly celebrate Independ-j ence day. All is in reaadiness for ' the big. event and the Axtell citizen.-, i have extended an invitation to all to join in celebrating the great Natai day with them. A real program has been arranged and will open with patriotic exercises at the school house at ten o'clock Monday morn-' ing. The program follows: Singing "America" . . . . Audience Prayer . Alvin Jensen ' Singing -"Star Spangled Banner" j Audience ; Address of Welcome .."Uncle Sam" Response John Anderson ; Piano Duet Nellie j Sorenson and Margaret Jensen ' Oration .... Bishop Royal Whitloc-: : Song Willard Barton & Co. I Reading Winona Olson Toast to "Goddess of Liberty" . . i Orion Sorenson ' Song Wilma Moicly & Co. Singing "Red, White and Blue" 1 Audience j Benediction George Morley ! During the afternoon many lea- tures will attract the crowds, the op-' ehing number being a dance for tile ' Children at one o'clock. Immediately , following the children's dance, a big j sport program will be given at the j school house. Contests for all ages, ; with good prizes, is the announce- j ment from the sports committee. All boys are asked to take their pon-! ies to the field of sport for the horse ! races. j There is a bunch of young boys ! who believe they are baseball play- j ers, and this bunch of young fellows . have issued a defi to the married' men and the crowning and big event : of the day will be a contest for su-' su-' premacy between the two factions. This, it is believed, will be the big j number of the Independence clay I celebration at Axtell and "wiseheads" declare the game will be well worth seeing. |
