Show SCARLATINA BREAKS OUT; PARENTS ARE CAUTIONED Scarlatina in a mild form has broken out in a few of the homes in Gunnison and Dr. Hagan, city health physician, has advised that precautions precau-tions be taken to prevent undue spread of the disease. Thus far only two families have reported the prevalence prev-alence of the disease, and the homes have been quarantined in order to prevent further spread. The city ordinance or-dinance provides severe prosecution to those who fail to report infectious or contagious diseases and this provision provi-sion is to be carried out to the limit. The first symptoms are fever, sore throat and sometimes vomiting and oftentimes severe sickness and death follows severe attacks. Parents are asked to watch their children closely and if rash and fever appear, to re- port immediately to the health off i- cials.
