Show Madsen Wedding Big Social Event The marriage of Miss Christy ?.lad-; ?.lad-; sen, one of Gunnison's cliarmin yonug social leaders, to Scott Linnell, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Madsen, at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening even-ing of last week, proved one of the society events of the early summer. The ceremony was performed by Ernest Er-nest Svvalberg and in the presence of some sixty immediate relatives. The bride was handsomely gowned in Georgette crepe and at the bodice she wore a cluster of tea roses. Her sister, Mrs. J. A. Hagan, acted a-; maid of honor. The groom wore the conventional black and his brother, J. W. Linnell, was the best man. Immediately following the ceremonies cere-monies and - the extending of best wishes for Mr. and Mrs. Linnell an elaborate wedding supper was served. serv-ed. Mrs. Linnell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Madsen. She is a native of Gunnison and received her education in the schools of this city. Mr. Linnell is one of the prominent young business men of Salt Lake City, his native heath. He attended the schools at the capitol city and for some few years past has been engaged engag-ed in the laundry business with his father. Mr. and Mrs. Linnell will make their home at Bingham, where Mr. Linnell is associated with the Royal Laundry company. The honeymoon of the newlyweds was spent in this city and during the week they have been the special guests at several dinners and social functions, being entertained by Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Madsen and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Madsen of this city and Mrs. Ida B. Nelson of Centerfield. Those who attended the wedding from outside points were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linnell and J. W. Linnell, parents and brother to the groom, Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hughes, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. White, Miss VJlate Watson and Max White, of Salt , Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Madsen of Bancroft, Idaho. |
