Show Utah Is Invited to D.A.V. Convention Bands, drum and bugle corps, drill teams or floats representing various civic, fraternal and patriotic organizations organi-zations in cities and towns throughout through-out the state of Utah, have been invited in-vited to participate in the monster military parade to be held at Salt Lake City, Tuesday morning, June 24, the second day of the fourth annual an-nual national convention of the Disabled Dis-abled American Veterans of the World 'War, to take place in this city, June 23 to 28. Colonel Fredrick Jor-genson, Jor-genson, chairman of the parade committee, com-mittee, has extended the invitation to societies and clubs in all sections of the state. Pointing out that the approaching national convention of the Disabled American Veterans is of vital importance import-ance and value to the entire state of Utah, Chairman, Gaylen S. Young of the convention committee, to assist the work of raising funds for the big conclave of America's wounded and I disabled world war veterans, by con-I con-I tributing to the fund. Subscriptions should be forwarded to W. W. Armstrong, Arm-strong, treasurer of the convention committee. The general public has been invited in-vited to attend the opening session of the big convention, in the Mormon tabernacle, Monday morning, June 2', commencing at nine o'clock. National Nation-al Commander James A. McFarland, of Daltori, Georgia, will preside. |
