George Reynolds of Salt Lake City, began his course of lectures on the Book of Mormon Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Brigham Young Academy of Provo. His address was ably carried on and was listened listen-ed to with great interest by the students. Box Elder County has quite a large representation attending the Academy this year. There are at present nine persons attending. TliL-y are Misses Virginia and Hat-tie Hat-tie Nichols, Miss Leah Reese, Miss Lottie Jensen, Josie M. Jensen and T. II. Blackburn, Jr., of Brigham City; Joseph Jensen of Mantua, Robert Kenara of Plymouth, and Ransom Harris of West Portage. A ripple of excitement was raised Wednesday evening by the ringing of the fire boll. The fire laddies turned out in good time, but owing to the scarcity of members they had quite a job tinning the water on. The fire was at a small stack of hay and straw. It burned very J fiercely and could not be saved; so j the firemen stood and watched it ' burn. When it commenced to die' out they turned the water on and ; soon put it out. i BitioiiAM Sti ornts. |
