Show : LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Mr. and Mrs. J. M .Knighton were motor travelers to Salt Lajce last Friday. They are the guests of friends and relatives while at the capitol city. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Bird and children, chil-dren, of Milford, spent several days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cribble. They returned to j their home Tuesday morning. Mrs. Q. G. Crawford returned to her home at Salt Lake Tuesday of this week. She was here for -a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Alma Fred-j Fred-j rickson. j Merrill Peterson, Marion Madsen and Waldo Villard, students at the Wasatch academy, Mt. Pleasant, visited with their families in Gunnison Gun-nison for a few hours Tuesday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Erickson were made happy yesterday over the arrival arriv-al of a ten-pound baby boy. The little fellow was born yesterday and all are doing fine at the Erickson home. Anton Christensen has gone to Mc-Gill, Mc-Gill, Nevada to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Peterson. Likely Mr. Christensen will remain at the Neva-' Neva-' da mining camp during the coming summer. Mrs. J. S. Peterson left for Castle Gate, the scene of the awful mine explosion, ex-plosion, the first of the week. She accompanied her sister, Mrs. Martha Perkins, the latter being called there on account of the death of her. son. Mrs. L. F. Peterson, accompanied by her infant son, L. Francis Peterson, Peter-son, came in from Garland Monday afternoon. The visitors will be the guests at te home of Mrs. Yetta Sor-enson Sor-enson for an indefinite stay. Mrs. Ira Overfelt was hostess to members of the Bonne Foi club yesterday yes-terday afternoon at a kensington. During the working period Mrs. Clinton Edwards gave an interesting reading from the study book. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served to twelve guests. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Olsen, who have resided in Gunnison for the past several years, left for Salt Lake yesterday yes-terday morning. They will make their home at the capitol city for the present. Mr. and Mrs. O'lsen have hosts of friends who will wish them well at their new home. Mrs. W. H. Gribble, who has been at Salt Lake for the past several days visiting with friends and relatives, rela-tives, returned home last evening. She was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. James Metcalf and the latter expect to be here several days visiting visit-ing at the Gribble home. |
