Jones, a prmni-i prmni-i nent young attorney of" this city, j began a libel suit in the District Court at Ogden against the S. L. llvmhl Co., the Brigbam City Theatre Co. and several residents of this city. The charge are that said complainant was arrested and imprisoned without cause, and that the publication of the charges in the Ucnihi intended to blacken the j character and destroy the reputation reputa-tion of the defendant. The list of charges is a long one and they arc carefully enumerated. The instrument in-strument concludes with a demand for judgment from the said defendants defen-dants the sum of $17,000. The whole affair grew out of the opera house row, which took place in Brigbam a few weeks ago, a-nd j the publication of the charges. |
