Show THURSDAY'S CELEBRATION. The Relief Societies Do Themselves Proud in a Granil Anniversary Party. Thursday, in llrigham, was a ! great day for the ladies of this city. On that occasion they celebrated the lil'tielh anniversary of the organization of (he Mormon Ih-lief Societies, at Nau-voo. Nau-voo. Ills. A 1 most every one in town toolc hold, making the day considerable of a general holiday. Most of the schools wen! closed that all could attend. A general meeting was held in IbeTaberiiaele IV 10 a. m. to 12 m. Then every one repaired to his ward meeting bouse w here all were feasted on (he substantial and . delicacies of the season. Interesting Interes-ting and instructive programs were ! n-ndered. to tie- delight and satisfaction satis-faction of all, in each of tin' four wards. The brass band boys did worl by service on 1 his occasion a nd deserve mention for their pleasant strains. Mrs, Widerborg and the oilier leaders of the soeiclies of this city are to be congeal ulal ed on tin: unqualified success of the day's proceedings. |
