Show I CENTERFIELD , NEWS ITEMS Plans for celebrating Christmas day in Centerfield are going ahead ! and indications are that it will be a real feature during the holiduy season. seas-on. At ten thirty Christmas morning morn-ing the pupils and officers of the ' Sunday school will give an appropriate ap-propriate program. The celebration will be continued until Monday, when a program of sports will be given. Missionaries working in the fields from Centerfield, are not going to be forgotten during the yuletide season. A collection of funds has resulted from the efforts of the citizens in Centerfield, and this will be divided equally and forwarded to the various workers for the church in time for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Nay visited with their daughter, Mrs. Vern Old- royd at Castle Gate last week. 'Mrs. Alice Bardsley is leaving for Salt Lake Friday. She will remain until after the holidays visiting with relatives and friends. Mrs. G. D. Peery, who is urging the buying of Christmas seals by the citizens, gave a splendid talk at the saci-amental meeting Sunday night on health habits and the good that would result with tuberculosis and other deadly diseases stamped out. Other speakers at the meeting were Miss Mable Larson and Glendon Myrup. Members of the Centerfield ward Relief society gave a social at the meeting house Tuesday afternoon in nonor of Russell Spencer, doing missionary mis-sionary work in South America. Chas. S. Hansen, who left m October to fill a mission in the northeastern north-eastern states, writes that he is getting get-ting along fine and enjoying his work. |
